THE KITCHEN TABLE FOUNDATION
For Fire Fighters & First Responders.
Its Okay to Ask for Help.
The Kitchen Table Foundation is dedicated to supporting first responders’ mental health and wellness through holistic healing and community connection.
Gather. Connect. Heal.
The Kitchen Table Foundation exists to strengthen the brotherhood and sisterhood of the fire service and first responders. We provide a place to gather, break bread, and find connection through camaraderie, shared experience, and peer support. Rooted in tradition, built on trust, and driven by service, we aim to uphold the mental and emotional well-being of those who run toward the call.

Joe Valdez
Former Firefighter
“The compassion and dedication that KTF has to bring everyone together and the “no one left behind” mindset is absolutely the best! They showed compassion when I needed it the most, and I thank them for still accepting me as family.”
Chris Abney
Combat Vet | Firefighter
“The Kitchen Table has been instrumental in efforts to bring first responders together. I have expanded my friendships and my support system has significantly increased. As a former combat vet and current firefighter, I have experienced hardships involving these careers. This non-profit encourages individuals to not isolate with many events bringing responders together and allowing a supportive environment for us to collaborate with each other when individuals are struggling with job related stress, family and personal matters. “
Michael York
ER Medic | Firefighter
“KTF met me where I was. After years in the fire service and the ER, I knew how to take care of everyone else, but I struggled to admit I needed help. Around that table I did not have to explain the job or the weight of it. They listened, connected me with a counselor who understands first responders, and checked in after the tough shifts. That kind of steady support is why I serve on this board and why I tell my crew to pull up a chair.”
